In need of ideas to brighten up the breakfasts of the weekend ahead? Then you really have to try this granola, which goes incredibly well with fresh strawberries! It is true that it is a greedy granola, because it takes quite some agave syrup, but from time to time we all need to spoil ourselves with something sweet.
Ingredients:
50 gr of almonds
50 gr of hazelnuts
50 gr of walnuts
125 gr of raisins
125 gr of pitted dates
5 Tbsp of vegetable margarine
150 ml of agave syrup
zest of 1 lemon
200 gr of oat flakes
a pinch of powdered cinnamon and ground ginger
Instructions:
- On a cutting board, cut roughly the almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts.
- Cut the raisins and dates into small pieces.
- In a non-stick pan, place the margarine and the agave syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Then, with the heat off, add all the dried fruits, lemon zest, oat flakes, cinnamon and ginger. Mix everything very well with a wooden spoon.
- Pour the mixture into a tray lined with parchment paper. Take the tray to a preheated oven at 180ºC (356ºF), for 10 minutes. Take the tray out of the oven, stir the granola, and return the tray to the oven for another 10 minutes or until the granola is golden brown.
Suggestion: Serve with fresh strawberries and vegetable milk.
Enjoy! :)
